Levi's XX 1954 501Z® (Rigid)

In the mid 1950s Levi Strauss & Co. started selling the 501® along the east coast of the US for the first time. Some had already been introduced to the jeans on trips west, but to many, this button fly work pant was something they had never encountered. In order to make potential consumers comfortable with the company’s products, LS&CO. introduced a zipper version of the 501® in 1954: the 501Z®.

-Narrow, tapered leg
-US made 12 oz. Cone Mills selvedge denim
-Zipper fly unique to the 501
-Hidden rivets on back pockets
-Leather patch
-Made in USA

Fit tip: Upon washing, rigid denim will shrink up to 3" in length and 2" at the waist. For sizing questions, please contact
