Vintage Clothing in Vancouver, Washington

A bunch of clothes hanging

Vintage clothing continues to be a rising trend. These second hand boutiques give a second life to ladylike fashions during the times of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Others enjoy combining popular trends of previous decades with modern punk elements. While the styles are classic, the price tags can be steep. Fortunately, Urban Eccentric provides customers with affordable vintage goodies.

Entering Urban Eccentric transports me to a time where elegant clothing ruled the decade. One rack features silk nightgowns from the 1950s. The pastel gowns offer lace accents giving romantic touches to the flowing gowns. Evening gowns from the 40’s and 50’s can be found throughout the store as well. The timeless details of the gowns promise you’ll have an original piece for upcoming holiday parties.

Authentic hats and costume jewelry are also carried for those desiring an authentic look. One of the hats featured beadwork stitched along deep burgundy, a festive look for the Christmas season. Customers are also promised fun accessories to dress up casual outfits. One of my recent finds included a green handbag, a must have for sporting blue jeans perfect for when I decide to visit a roller rink wearing my pair from https://www.skates.com/collections/roller-skates. I also found retro dress shoes exhibiting the season’s popular seventies fashions.

The shoes and purses aren’t the only remembrances to the carefree days of the seventies. The store carries vintage Levis dating back to the seventies. You’ll also find fun pieces of 80’s clothing throughout the racks of clothes. Occasionally, you’ll even find modern pieces from upscale clothing stores. On one visit I found a pink fall sweater from the Gap.

If you’re searching for the perfect costume, look no further. You’ll get more mileage for your dollars then you would with discount store purchases. You’ll feel like royalty as you step into a velvet king’s cloak. The cowboy and police officer hats also create fun and realistic looks for the latest costume party. Have a rocking evening with the bright colored wigs.

Upon exiting through the clothes, you’ll find fun accessories. The switch plates and tile coasters come in fun prints. The fun advertisements from the 1950s give life to any room. In the past they also carried journals with retro children’s books.

Unlike other vintage clothing stores the clothes are inexpensive. Most items are priced for what I’d expect to pay at Target. The 50% off rack also promises big bargains. Don’t forget to check out the $1.00 rack in front of the store. You never know what treasures are lurking in the pile of clearance priced items.

Urban Eccentric brings a blend of funky style to Vancouver’s uptown village. You’ll have fun time traveling to days of sock hops and rock and roll fever. Boogie on down to stock up on authentic and affordable vintage threads.
